Perched on the stunning Cumbrian coast, The Drake is a striking bespoke garden room that blends architectural flair with everyday comfort. Designed hand-in-hand with the client, the project began with fully rendered 3D visuals — ensuring every angle, material, and detail was perfected before construction began. The finished build is a testament to that vision: a sweeping modern structure with a dramatic overhanging roof, bold black steel accents, and rich timber cladding that softens the contemporary form.

Outside, custom-built decking follows the natural contours of the garden, creating a seamless connection between house, room, and landscape. A suspended cocoon chair hangs from the canopy — a unique feature designed for quiet moments of relaxation with panoramic coastal views. Inside, the space is flooded with natural light thanks to expansive glazing, offering both shelter and openness in equal measure.
